About Wes Anderson Welcome Wagon

Sunshine in dog form, with the perfect balance of social butterfly energy and goofy charm, this is Wes!

Wes is estimated to be just over a year old and weighs around 51 lbs. He appears to be a lab/pittie mix with that happy-go-lucky, people-loving personality shining through in everything he does. This is a dog who wakes up ready to enjoy life and wants to bring you along with him! Wes has this warm, welcoming energy that makes him instantly lovable. He adores affection, happily rolling over for a belly rub, and he makes fast friends everywhere he goes.

Wes is wonderfully social with other dogs. He is friendly, playful, and knows how to mix and mingle, especially in a group setting. He would thrive with another medium-energy dog to play with and keep him company. After playtime, he's happy to come inside, flop down, and settle, balancing playful energy with easy downtime.

Ideal Home

Wes would do well in a home with a yard or an apartment, as long as his person enjoys getting out and about with him. He would absolutely shine as a go-everywhere, do-everything kind of dog. He can be a bit of a puller on leash when he sees other dogs, which is pure excitement, not reactivity. Wes can get a little vocal, so apartment living isn't ideal. A house with a yard is the dream! He'll do best with a dog-savvy cat who can set boundaries and ideally another dog so he has an appropriate outlet for his playful side.

Ongoing Health

Wes is up to date on all vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, and a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable. He has also been tested for heartworm.

Training & Support

Wes is treat motivated and responds well to corrections, so with consistency and treats, he will polish up nicely on leash manners. He loves his food and takes treats gently with great manners.
