BARLEY

Barley is a handsome, 1-year-old American Staffordshire mix with a striking tuxedo coat and a big smile! He's a boisterous and energetic teen puppy who weighs about 90 pounds and still has some growing to do. Barley is eager to play and meet new people, though he gets excited and jumps up to say hello. He's already showing he takes correction well, but he needs a patient and strong leader to teach him polite manners and how to settle down. Once he's had his daily dose of exercise and playtime, he's a happy sleeper who loves to be near his people. Barley came to us as a stray on May 30.

Ideal Home

Barley needs a physically strong handler and a calm leader to guide him. Due to his size and exuberance, we don't recommend him for homes with seniors, as he could accidentally knock someone over. He was appropriate with another dog he saw in the next yard, but he is selective with dogs, and we may require he be your one and only furry friend.

Ongoing Health

Barley was not yet neutered at the time of his intake, so this will need to be completed before his adoption.

Training & Support

Barley needs to learn all his basic training, including how to greet people politely without jumping. With consistent guidance and daily exercise, he's sure to become a wonderfully well-behaved companion.
