Meet Blondie, a 10-year-old golden retriever/yellow lab mix who just might be the most perfect dog you’ll ever meet. Blondie has been overlooked simply because of her age and the fact that she takes a very affordable daily medication, but we are here to tell you with absolute certainty: there is a perfect home out there for this incredible senior girl. Blondie is housebroken, quiet, impeccably mannered, and beautifully trained. She doesn’t need a crate, has excellent recall, walks wonderfully on a leash, and loves car rides. She has no mobility issues, enjoys being brushed, and is even a great swimmer. She can be trusted off leash, and carries herself with a calm, mindful presence that makes life with her feel easy and peaceful. Blondie is sweet, loving, and endlessly patient. She gets along with dogs of all sizes and personalities. If another dog gets a little too rowdy, she’ll respectfully let them know, but won't escalate. She adores people, is wonderful with children, and has that classic, steady golden/lab temperament that makes her such a joy to be around. Blondie is also incredibly smart and loves to show off her skills. She knows commands like sit, down, and come, and has even mastered taking her medication on cue. At the phrase, “Blondie, time for your medicine,” she happily takes her Keppra with a little dab of Buddy Budder. Easy as that. Her seizures are very well controlled, and her medication is inexpensive (about $15–20 per month). Blondie is fully vetted: spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. She is healthy, happy, and has so much love left to give. If you’ve ever thought about opening your heart to a senior dog, Blondie is the one who will show you just how special that decision can be. She is calm, devoted, and truly the definition of a once-in-a-lifetime companion. Could you be the home this perfect girl has been waiting for?
