Onyx Baby is the sweetest boy with a face that will melt your heart! This approximately 7-month-old, 33 lb pittie mix is a real charmer. He gets along wonderfully with all dogs, big or small, dominant or shy, and matches their energy perfectly. He also showed great respect around the resident cat, Biggie, and was not bothered by feline antics. Onyx is a smart boy who knows basic commands like "sit" and is gentle when taking treats. He is crate trained and mostly potty-trained, though he may have occasional accidents if left alone for long periods.
Ideal Home
Onyx would thrive in a home with another dog to be his companion, and a backyard where he can romp and play. However, he's also a happy couch potato who loves snuggles. We can test him with children upon request.
Ongoing Health
Onyx is up-to-date on all vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, flea and heartworm prevention, and has been spayed/neutered. He comes with a health certificate deeming him healthy for travel.
Training & Support
Onyx is eager to please and a quick learner, making any additional training an enjoyable bonding experience. He is already house-trained for the most part and crate-trained.

Transportation
Onyx is currently located in Texas. We facilitate nationwide adoptions with our USDA-certified transport system, which includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pickup in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). An $87 surcharge applies for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
