Fidough

Fidough is a four-year-old small to medium mixed breed who arrived at our shelter after his family moved and left him behind. He's a sensitive soul who has been slowly learning to trust again. Initially, Fidough was very withdrawn, hiding in his kennel. We've moved him to a quieter office space, and he's started to make progress. He now ventures out of his kennel and seeks gentle affection, though he's still a bit nervous and doesn't eat when people are around. Fidough truly shines outdoors; he loves to explore, sniff, and run in the yard, where he seems happiest and most relaxed. Despite his anxieties, Fidough has never shown aggression and remains gentle, even when uncomfortable. He's curious about other dogs his size but can be startled by quick movements. Fidough needs a patient adopter or a socialization foster who can provide him with a quiet, kind environment to continue healing and build confidence. He has come so far and just needs someone to help him take the next step in trusting that the world can be a kind place.
