Keira

Keira is a sweet, medium-sized, female Husky mix who is approximately 3 years old. She came to us as a terrified stray and spent many months fearful of humans and even leashes. One day, something changed, and she allowed us to leash her! To our surprise, she walked calmly and even showed us commands she knows, including sit, stay, paw, both paws, and down. It's sad to think she was scared for so long when she could have been out having fun! Keira is dog-friendly, but her interaction with cats is unknown.

Ideal Home

Keira needs an experienced home with someone who is around a lot. She displays anxiety, such as pacing and crying when people leave, and takes time to adjust to new indoor spaces. She has never shown aggression.

Ongoing Health

Keira may benefit from medication to help manage her anxiety.

Training & Support

Keira thrives on walks and needs her new owner to be prepared to exercise her body and mind. She needs continued support to help her overcome her anxiety and adjust to new situations.
