Meet Abel, a delightful Lab Mix pup with a birthday around December 10, 2024! This little guy is ready to bring endless joy and puppy kisses into your life. As with any puppy, Abel is a blank slate, eager to learn and grow with his forever family. He'll need patience, love, and consistent training to help him become the best dog he can be.

Ideal Home

Bringing home a puppy is a big commitment and a wonderful adventure! Abel will need a home that's prepared for the energy and excitement of a young pup. He can't be crated for more than 3-4 hours at a time while he's still growing. Puppy-proofing your home will be a must, as he'll be exploring and learning his boundaries. If you have small children, please consider if they are ready for a playful puppy who may nip or scratch as they learn.

Ongoing Health

Abel is too young for a heartworm test, which is typically done at 6 months of age. He'll be up-to-date on his initial puppy vaccinations before adoption. Post-adoption, all necessary vaccinations and ongoing preventative care will be the adopter's responsibility. He is too young to be neutered, so a Spay/Neuter Contract will be required and strictly enforced, or he can be picked up after his neuter surgery.

Training & Support

Abel is not yet housetrained and will need guidance and consistency to learn this important skill. Puppies, by nature, scratch and nip as they explore their world.
