Carmilla

Carmilla is a spirited Doberman mix with a docked tail and a coarse coat, weighing around 50 lbs and estimated to be about 5 years old. She was found as a stray near the airport, having been seen on the streets of Houston for a few weeks. After being rescued and fostered in the country, she's been enjoying the freedoms of rural living and has been exposed to horses and chickens. Carmilla is a resilient survivor; she tested positive for hookworms and heartworms but has been treated and now tests negative. Her body shows signs of having had puppies before, and she has scars on her head and worn-down front teeth, suggesting a history of chewing on things like chains or rocks. Despite her past, she's spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and up-to-date on prevention.

Carmilla is an adventurous soul who prefers action and the great outdoors over quiet indoor activities. She'd likely thrive in a home that can offer her plenty of opportunities for exploration and physical activity.
