Scottie

Scottie is a handsome Labradoodle estimated to be around 2 to 3 years old and weighing about 60 lbs. He came to us from a difficult situation and, thankfully, is now safe and ready for a loving home. Scottie was found living outside with little veterinary care and was covered in ticks, but after arriving at the rescue, he received a full grooming, was neutered, and is up-to-date on all his vaccinations. He even tested negative for heartworm! Scottie has a medium, scruffy coat that will require regular grooming.

Ideal Home

Scottie would thrive in a calmer home with patient adopters who understand he's still building confidence. He's done well as an only dog but would also benefit from a confident, social dog in his new home to help him learn. He's friendly and adaptable with other dogs.

Ongoing Health

Scottie is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. He tested negative for heartworm.

Training & Support

Scottie is still learning to trust and can be timid, especially with new noises and people. He's improving daily with his foster mom, Michelle, and is learning to enjoy attention. He walks well on a leash and has good house manners. While he might run from you in the yard sometimes, he'll come over if you squat down. He needs adopters who will continue to build his confidence with patience and gentle encouragement.
