Phoenix is a handsome senior Alaskan Klee Kai, weighing about 11 kg, with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. At approximately 10 years old, he’s looking for a calm, understanding retirement home where he can settle in and enjoy life at his own pace. He is a sweet, mild-mannered gentleman who wins hearts the moment you meet him. Phoenix is calm, affectionate, and loves attention, while still enjoying his independence. He already knows several cues like sit, down, shake a paw, and even roll over, and he takes treats gently—making him a pleasure to work with. He responds beautifully to positive reinforcement and is eager to bond with his person. Because of his age and sensitive nature, he can be a little unsure at first—but with patience and consistency, his confidence continues to grow. He loves car rides and jumps right in—ready for his next adventure! Phoenix is a truly special senior who will reward the right person with quiet companionship, loyalty, and trust. He’s the kind of dog who doesn’t ask for much—just patience, understanding, and a peaceful place to call home.

Ideal Home

Phoenix is looking for a very specific home where he can feel safe and supported: a calm, quiet environment, an adult-only household, and experienced dog owners (breed knowledge preferred). He would do best with daily on-leash walks (no off-leash parks) and a securely fenced yard (6 ft recommended) or structured condo/apartment living. He may be a flight risk, so secure handling and leash use are essential at all times outdoors.

Ongoing Health

Phoenix recently had a dental procedure with some teeth removed.

Training & Support

Phoenix is progressing well with his housetraining and can hold it overnight. He takes treats gently and allows handling of his food. He is looking for a commitment to a food-based bonding program (including hand-feeding) and a willingness to continue training. Private training may be recommended.
