Gunthry

Gunthry is a 60lb ball of fluff who loves to play and get up on his hind legs and dance with his humans. He is a bit shy around men and certain loud noises like garage doors. His favorite activity is playing with kids and other pups.

Ideal Home

Gunthry would thrive in a home that can provide him with plenty of playtime and affection. He is a bit shy around men and can be startled by loud noises, so a patient and understanding family would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Gunthry has tested positive for heartworm disease, which he contracted from a mosquito bite. Heartworm disease is not directly contagious to other dogs, but it is important to keep all dogs on monthly, year-round heartworm prevention. Underdog Pet Rescue has begun Gunthry's treatment protocol, and with proper after-care, he should make a full recovery. While Gunthry can go to his new home before treatment is complete, his adopter must commit to bringing him to scheduled treatment appointments and keeping him calm with strict crate rest or supervised relaxation for four months post-treatment. Underdog will provide instructions and cover the necessary medication.

Training & Support

Gunthry enjoys playing with kids and other pups. Further guidance on managing his shyness around men and loud noises will be provided by the rescue.
