Hello there! I'm Pop, and I'm absolutely bursting with joy and ready to share my snuggles with you! My fur is incredibly soft, and I've got these adorable white markings on my nose that just add to my charm. I hail from New Mexico with my siblings, but my early days are a bit of a blur. What I do know is that I'm a fantastic companion who loves to be close to my humans, especially if it means sleeping right beside them at night. I'm a big fan of warmth and will happily snuggle up to you for comfort. I also have a special fondness for the snow and love exploring the outdoors. My coat is a bit thicker than your typical pittie, hinting at some Border Collie in my mix, which makes me extra fluffy!
Ideal Home
I'm looking for a family with older, dog-savvy children who understand that I can be a little shy and barky when I first meet new people, especially kids. Once I warm up, which usually only takes a few minutes, I'm all about the kisses and cuddles! A home with another dog is a must for me, as I truly thrive with canine companions and consider my foster brother my personal emotional support animal. I also love to play with my bigger foster dog siblings, enjoying games like tug, keep away, and zoomies. I'm still working on my manners, so a family patient and willing to continue my training will be my dream come true. Letting me sleep in the bed with you is also a big plus!
Ongoing Health
I'm a healthy pup! I'm completely potty-trained and will let you know when I need to go outside by resting by the door. I'm also kennel-trained, though I must admit, I'm not a fan of being confined. I'm a bit of a houdini in my kennel and tend to bark when I'm inside, but I promise I don't chew or destroy anything when left to my own devices outside of it.
Training & Support
I know "sit," "stay," "wait," and "come," and I'm working hard on "down" and "off." My favorite things in the world are food, peanut butter, and yogurt! While I don't get table scraps, I'm highly motivated by tasty treats. I'm still learning to be gentle when taking them, but with a little practice and guidance, I'm getting better every day. I'm also working on my "stranger danger" with new people, and with a little patience, I'll be your best friend in no time.
