Onyx is a handsome boy with a cautious exterior who is looking for a family that understands that the best relationships are earned through patience, kindness, and love. He doesn't hand out his trust right away, and likes to take his time when meeting new people or other dogs. Once you have earned his trust, however, you will discover an incredibly loyal companion who will stand by your side through everything. He enjoys his daily walks, sits politely for his leash, and has wonderful house manners. Onyx is crate trained and eager to please. He knows sit, shake, leave it, watch, down, come, and stay, and gently takes treats and meals. When it's time to relax, he can be found chewing on a bone or enjoying his toys.
Ideal Home
Onyx would love to be the only dog in the home where he can soak up all the love for himself. If there is another dog, he will need slow, thoughtful introductions to help him feel safe and comfortable. Because he is still building confidence, we also feel he would do best in a home without young children.
