Meet Moose! This handsome 1-year-old Doberman and Pittie mix is about 85 pounds of pure, gentle love. Moose was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Los Angeles, and he's incredibly grateful to be here. He's a sensitive soul who may be a bit shy around strangers, especially men, but with a little patience and slow introductions, he forms deep bonds. Once he trusts you, he's devoted and will melt into your touch, always seeking chin scratches and head pets. Moose is a fantastic walking companion, staying close by your side and listening well, though he does get distracted by squirrels and lizards. He absolutely adores other dogs and would thrive with a canine sibling in his new home. Moose is crate-trained and does well when left alone, though he'll greet you with immense joy upon your return. He's learning to gain confidence with more exposure to the world and hopes to explore new places with his forever family.
Ideal Home
Moose would thrive in a patient home where his humans understand that building trust takes time. He would be happiest with another dog to keep him company and would do best in a home with children over 8 years old due to his size.
Ongoing Health
Moose is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
Training & Support
Moose is a work in progress and a good student. While he walks well on a leash and listens when called, he can be distracted by small animals. He is gaining confidence with new experiences and can be nervous around strangers, requiring slow introductions.
