Rusty

Rusty is a spunky 4-5 year old, 50lb neutered Black Mouth Cur Shepherd mix who is ready for adventure! He loves to play, with keep away and chase being his favorite games. Rusty is friendly with medium to large dogs, both male and female, and would be happy to be an only dog or have a canine sibling. His experience with cats is unknown. He knows his basic commands and is highly motivated by treats, which will make training a breeze! In his foster home, Rusty has been perfect with house training and is also crate trained. He rides well in the car and doesn't experience any anxiety.

Ideal Home

Rusty would thrive in an active home where he can be included in daily family activities and adventures. He needs a securely fenced yard and is not off-leash trained. He would not be a good fit for an apartment. Rusty can live with a couple, a single person, or a family with children over 10 years old, as his exuberance might accidentally knock over a younger child.

Ongoing Health

Rusty is up to date on all his shots, is heartworm negative, and has been microchipped.

Training & Support

Rusty is house-trained and crate-trained. He is not off-leash trained and requires a fenced yard.
