Meet Kona! She's a fantastic Husky mix, approximately 2 years old and weighing around 45-50 lbs. Kona came to us as a stray and was never reclaimed. She's already vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped, so she's all set for her new life! Kona is a lively pup who absolutely loves to play and run. She's quite fast and enjoys zooming around!
Ideal Home
Kona would thrive in an active home with owners who have experience with her breed. She's a bit of a powerhouse and would do best with a dog who also enjoys a good romp and play session. She's housetrained and uses a doggy door to a fenced yard in her foster home. While she scaled a baby gate, she hasn't attempted to scale a fence.
Ongoing Health
Kona is up-to-date on all her vaccinations and is spayed and microchipped.
Training & Support
Kona wasn't a fan of a regular crate initially, but she now readily goes into her indestructible crate when her foster mom leaves for work and is quiet. It's unclear if this would change with a different type of crate. She's generally fine with bathing and brushing.

- We only accept applications for pets currently listed for adoption.
- Applications are for those ready to adopt immediately, available on the Saturday of the week the application is submitted.
- All applicants receive an auto-response detailing the adoption process.
- Dogs are in foster homes; we do not host events.
- We consider applicants aged 25 and older.
- We will only contact the selected applicant to arrange a meet-and-greet.
- All current and prior household pets must be up-to-date on vaccines, preventatives, and spayed/neutered.
Transportation
Kona is currently located in a foster home. Adopters must be present to complete the adoption process. We do consider out-of-state applicants willing to travel to Charleston for the adoption.
