Meet Schultz, a handsome 5-year-old Lab mix with a heart of gold! Schultz originally came into rescue as a puppy with his mom and siblings. After being well-cared for in a foster home, he was adopted by a loving couple who have adored him ever since. Unfortunately, their family dynamics have shifted, and Schultz has become stressed by the presence of young children. While his family has tried their best to make it work, it's clear this isn't the right environment for Schultz or the children. We're now seeking a new home for this wonderful boy, where he can receive the attention and exercise he craves, away from the chaos of young kids.

Ideal Home

Schultz is a wonderful companion who absolutely loves people and playing with balls! He walks well on a leash and enjoys both leisurely strolls and energetic runs. He thrives with proper exercise to keep his happy spirit fulfilled. He's also dog-social, having attended doggie daycare with success. However, Schultz is a "no" when it comes to cats, as he tends to view them as toys to chase. A home without young children is essential for his well-being.

Ongoing Health

Schultz has been treated for a thyroid condition and is currently on medication to manage it. The medication costs approximately $35 per month. He will need his blood levels checked every six months to ensure the correct dosage. His current family is willing to send along some medication and supplies with him.

Training & Support

Schultz is completely potty trained and has always had free roam of the house, with no history of chewing or destructive behavior. He sleeps comfortably on a dog bed or the couch.
