Meet Rex, a.k.a. Rexie the Bestie! This 68lb, Black Lab mix with an estimated birthday in September 2020 is a tall, dark, and handsome guy who is as bubbly and outgoing as they come. Rex lives to run, play, and sit for treats, but his favorite activity is simply being with his people and receiving validation that he's a good boy. Prepare for a lifetime of guaranteed kisses, because this sweetheart is a champion snuggler who hilariously believes he's a lap dog, despite his nearly 70lb frame!
Rex was rescued as a stray after a difficult start in life, having been betrayed by those who were supposed to protect him. He has since blossomed and is now ready to share all the love he has to give with his forever person or people. Rex has attended several adoption events and truly shines, even joining volunteers at an Astros watch party where he was the picture of sweetness, happily soaking up hugs and kisses. He's also enjoyed dining out at dog-friendly restaurants with his best buddy Bambi, patiently people-watching from under the table.
Ideal Home
Rex would thrive in a home where he can receive plenty of love and attention. He is dog-selective, preferring female dogs and being friendly with proper introductions.

Transportation
Rex is located in Houston, TX. Transport is included and can take him to adoption events in nearby towns or states. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles converted for dog transport. Adopters can track the van using the Life360 app and receive updates. Facebook chats are also available for tracking updates. Please be prepared to use one of these services if you wish to follow your adopted dog's journey.
