Spencer
There are dogs you meet, and then there are dogs who stay with you forever.
Spencer is one of those.
At not even 2 years old, this beautiful boy has already lived through more pain than most animals ever should. Spencer was found as a tiny 3 month old puppy in a terrible part of the city, alone, starving, and with both of his back legs broken. No one knows what happened to him, but somehow he survived.
Because he was so young, his body healed the only way it could.
Today, Spencer does not need surgery and he does not live in obvious pain, but his back legs will always be a little different. He cannot carry heavy weight or put too much strain on them.
And yet he walks, he explores, he enjoys being outside. He never gave up on life.
Spencer is about 82 pounds of quiet strength, a beautiful Doberman mix, with a sleek black and chocolate coat and soulful eyes that tell his story better than words ever could.
What truly makes Spencer special is his heart.
Spencer is incredibly gentle, deeply sensitive, very friendly but shy, quiet, observant, and always trying to do the right thing. You can feel it.
Spencer is afraid of making mistakes, as if life once punished him just for being a puppy.
Despite everything, Spencer loves other dogs. Big or small, young or old, he approaches them with kindness.
He enjoys walks, fresh air, and calm companionship.
At home, Spencer is an absolute dream.
He is fully potty trained and has never had accidents indoors.
He sleeps peacefully in his own soft bed.
He is calm, quiet, and respectful.
Spencer has simple, sweet preferences.
He loves meals like rice with boiled chicken or ground turkey meatballs.
Nothing fancy, just comfort and care.
Spencer is neutered, healthy, and ready for his home, but he does get stressed with sudden changes or new environments.
He will need a calm, stable home where he can slowly learn to feel safe.
Spencer is not just a dog.
He is a soul who survived when he should not have had to.
A heart that still chooses love after everything.
Spencer does not need perfection.
He just needs one person who will choose him.
