Winston, born October 2020, is a handsome Australian Cattle dog who is currently enjoying life in a foster home but is eagerly awaiting his furever family! His foster family raves about his affectionate nature and his love for snuggling. Winston is a well-behaved boy; he's house-trained and doesn't get into mischief when left alone. He's a very attentive and affectionate companion who thrives on attention and loves to cuddle. While he can sometimes be a bit anxious, likely due to his abundant energy, he's always eager to please. True to his breed, Winston would excel with a job to do, and he's also quite protective of his people. He previously did well in a home with other dogs, enjoying plenty of play and exercise, though he is now more reactive towards other dogs. Winston can also be reactive to children screaming and small dogs barking, so a home with older children (6+) might be a better fit due to his sensitivity to noise.

- All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION.
- Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal's foster to see if you and the pet are a good match.
- If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal.
- We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process.
- We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal's needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.
Transportation
Adoptions for Winston are limited to the area within 50 miles of Omaha so that he can continue to take advantage of free training from our certified positive reinforcement trainers. All adoptions must be done in person in the Omaha, NE area. We do not ship or deliver.
