Zander is a charming Miniature Pinscher - Chihuahua mix, approximately 5 years old and weighing around 15 lbs. He was found wandering the streets and, upon arrival at his foster home, was quite skittish and traumatized. However, with time and patience, Zander has made incredible progress! He now readily accepts affection, including hugs and face pets, and happily follows his foster dad around. While he's still a little cautious around children and prefers not to be around them at this time, he has shown no signs of aggression and simply prefers their company in smaller doses. Zander coexists peacefully with other dogs and cats and has even appointed himself the neighborhood's unofficial watch captain, enjoying observing the world from the fence. He's an energetic explorer who loves walks on trails and in grassy hills, where he can satisfy his curiosity.
Ideal Home
Zander would thrive in a home that can continue to help him build confidence at his own pace. A home with calm, resident dogs could be beneficial. A securely fenced yard would be ideal for his people-watching hobbies, and regular walks would be perfect for his adventurous spirit.
Ongoing Health
Zander has no known ongoing health conditions mentioned.
Training & Support
Zander is not yet 100% housebroken and will require patience and consistency to establish a routine. While he is becoming more comfortable with adults, he is still cautious around children and would prefer a home without them or one where children are taught to respect his space.
