Panchita

Panchita is a loving, intelligent, and obedient 2-3 year old creole mix weighing about 33 lbs. She was rescued in March 2024 after being found as a stray who had recently given birth to seven puppies. She was rescued and cared for, and now Panchita is ready to find her own loving home. She is incredibly sociable with people, children, and other dogs, and even friendly with cats! Panchita enjoys playing, going for walks, and running, but her favorite thing is affection. She's described as the sweetest, most loving dog, very noble, charismatic, and always trying to please. Her joyful and funny personality shines through her constant "smiling."

Ideal Home

Panchita would thrive in a home with owners who have a fenced backyard. She needs an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and has an open conscience about the needs of rescued animals, understanding their journey of protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training is preferred, as is a high tolerance and patience for rescued pups.

Ongoing Health

Panchita has received a spay/neuter certificate, two DHPPI vaccines, a rabies vaccine, a Bordetella vaccine, and has been dewormed. She is microchipped, and her 4DX and heartworm tests were negative. She is on monthly Nexgard Spectra for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention and comes with a health certificate and vaccination booklet.

Training & Support

Panchita is crate and leash trained. However, please note that rescued pets are not always potty trained, and Panchita is not house-trained. Success with her will require patience and understanding as she continues her journey of learning and adaptation.

• A phone/email interview will be scheduled.
• A home check (virtual or in-person) will be conducted.
• A virtual meet and greet will be arranged.
• A trial adoption period will be implemented.

Transporation

Panchita is currently fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. Transportation to the adopter's home address on the East Coast is available for a fee of $400.00, which is paid by the adopter prior to departure.
