Meet Dolly!
Dolly is a 5-year-old Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees mix weighing around 70 pounds. She is truly one of the sweetest souls you could ever meet. Dolly’s story started with heartbreak. She was surrendered to a local shelter after her family claimed they “no longer had time for her.” What makes that even harder to understand is that Dolly was once a registered emotional support animal, a dog who gave endless comfort, loyalty, and love to the people she trusted most. Despite everything she gave, she found herself abandoned. But Dolly hasn’t let that change who she is. This beautiful girl absolutely adores people and attention. If you’ve never experienced the famous Great Pyrenees hug, Dolly will gladly introduce you. She gently hops up to wrap her paws around you in the softest, sweetest embrace imaginable. She loves being pampered, brushed, pet, and loved on, and she’ll happily roll over to show you her belly while soaking up every second of affection.
Ideal Home
Dolly would love a home with a yard where she can peacefully roam and relax. Apartment life is not her ideal fit, and because she thrives on companionship, she would do best with someone who is home more often than not. She will whine/cry when you leave, she has big feelings for the people she loves.

Training & Support
Dolly walks wonderfully on leash, though she prefers a slower pace to stop and enjoy life around her. She gets along great with other dogs, though she’d prefer calmer companions over rowdy young puppies jumping in her face. She has also done well with cats and children, because honestly, Dolly just loves everyone she meets. Dolly is not a fan of the kennel, but the good news is she does beautifully outside of it; she’s trustworthy in the home, not destructive, and can safely be left loose when alone.
