Tiny Potato. Professional Cuddler. Survivor.
Spud's story could have ended very differently. This little guy was found completely alone after being dumped during a terrible storm in Texas. Thankfully, an incredible person spotted him and brought him to safety. Because of that kindness, Spud is now warm, loved, and getting the chance every puppy deserves. We believe Spud is only about 5-6 weeks old. As for his breed? Hound mix? Jack Russell? Rat Terrier? A little bit of everything? We honestly don't know. What we do know is that he's absolutely adorable. Based on the size of his paws, we suspect he may grow to around 40 pounds, but at this age that's simply an educated guess. What isn't a guess is his personality. Spud is sweet, affectionate, playful, and wonderfully social. He loves people, enjoys being held, and has already mastered the art of melting hearts with one look from his big puppy eyes. He's curious about the world around him and approaches new experiences with the kind of bravery only tiny puppies seem to possess. One minute he's exploring every corner of the room, and the next he's curled up in your lap fast asleep.
Ideal Home
We recommend homes with children 10 years and over to ensure the best fit for both the pets and families involved.
Ongoing Health
Spud is a young puppy and has no known health conditions.
Training & Support
Like any young puppy, Spud will need an adopter committed to helping him learn all the important puppy skills. Potty training, crate training, socialization, leash walking, and basic manners are all still ahead of him. He's very much a baby and will need patience, consistency, and lots of love as he grows.
