Coco Honey The Sweetest

Coco is a professional cuddle consultant who's actually just a big sweetheart in a dog suit! She is the ultimate velcro dog, happily being your silent partner while you work, your shadow while you cook, and your personal heater while you nap. While she loves a good outdoor adventure, she is a world-class lounger who believes that hanging out is a competitive sport and she's taking home the gold medal! We think Coco is a stunning German Shepherd mix, about 50 pounds of pure, silver sable perfection. She's that just-right size, substantial enough for big bear hugs and sturdy hikes, but still convinced she can fit into your lap like a tiny puppy. She is currently flourishing in a loving foster home, proving that she is as sweet as her name implies. Coco is a social butterfly who is always happy to meet new people with a wagging tail. She's so smart and eager to learn, especially if there is food involved! If you're looking for a partner to join you for training sessions, Coco is your girl – she's a total foodie who will work overtime for a snack! Whether she's showing off her impeccable leash manners or giving out free kisses, she's a girl who just wants to be part of the family action. She's even ready to be your favorite co-pilot for car rides to grab a pup cup!

Ideal Home

Coco would thrive in a house rather than an apartment setting, as she has a classic, vocal Shepherd personality. She would do best with an active family who is familiar with the Shepherd breed and understands their loyal, intelligent nature. She'd also be a great match for a calm, confident canine companion who can show her the ropes and share a sunny spot in the grass. Coco is more than ready to be your one and only star, but if you have a dog, a calm, confident companion would be a good fit. A supervised sleepover with a kitty would be needed to determine compatibility with cats.

Training & Support

Coco is still learning the ropes of being part of the pack and how to socialize, but she is making great progress every day. She isn't quite sure what toys or zoomies are yet, but seems very interested in squeaky toy sounds. She is a polite girl who is very respectful of boundaries. She is a leash walking pro and a kiss-giving enthusiast.

Transporation

Coco is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue-run USDA certified transport system. Transport drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time and receive photo updates. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
