Gunner

Gunner is a goofy, happy male black-and-tan hound mix rescued from a rural small-town dog pound. Around 3 years old and 50 pounds, he is affectionate, playful, and loves human attention, toys, treats, couch time, and playing with other dogs.

Gunner is a typical hound who may jump after squirrels, bark at people and animals he sees, counter-surf, and investigate unsecured garbage. He prefers relaxing indoors in the air conditioning during hot weather.

Ideal Home

Gunner is available to approved in-state and out-of-state adopters. He enjoys playing with other dogs and would appreciate a home prepared for typical hound behaviors and his love of human companionship.

Ongoing Health

Gunner is neutered, tattooed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated for DAPPvL2, Bordetella, and rabies. He was treated for heartworms, is now heartworm-negative, and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention.

Training & Support

Gunner is crate-trained, comes when called, obeys, walks on a leash, rides well in a vehicle, sits for treats, and tolerates baths. He may be housetrained, though he previously needed to learn not to mark indoors.
