Elden is a sweet, mellow, and loving young dog with an energetic spirit. He came to us as part of a hoarding case and had very little exposure to the world outside. He has adapted remarkably well and is a certified "very good boy" who blossoms when included in family life. Elden is happy to do his own thing but will happily come for attention, offering gentle hugs and pets. He loves to cuddle, content to curl up next to you on the couch. His favorite pastimes include chewing on hard rubber toys and Nylabones, especially his black Kong stuffie and a Jolly Ball toy. Once he learned what was his to chew, he became very good with his toys. Elden enjoys exercise and stimulation but settles down nicely afterward. He is incredibly tolerant of other dogs and usually moves on from a situation, occasionally offering an appropriate correction. Once easily spooked, he has become a steady presence and is a truly easy-going dog with a wonderful temperament. Watching him blossom into a loving family dog has been a joy.
Ideal Home
Elden would do best in a home with at least one other confident dog and people who want to include him in their lives. He would love to be adopted with Aspen A867763, though this is not a requirement.
Ongoing Health
No specific health conditions are mentioned.
Training & Support
Elden is housetrained with access to a dog door and is crate/x-pen trained, though he doesn't require it. He walks pretty well on a leash and knows many basic commands, though he is still working on "stay." He has learned to be good with his toys after an initial learning curve.
