Simba is a future king in training, with a confident and easygoing presence. He has the calm, steady temperament of an Anatolian Shepherd and Great Pyrenees mix. He's a born guardian with a playful curiosity that makes him quick to explore, and even quicker to flop down for a nap once he's worn himself out. Simba came to us at just 3 months old, rescued from the Santa Cruz shelter after he and his littermates ended up there without their mom. Guardian breeds like Simba grow into large, devoted dogs who take their family seriously – think gentle giant rather than lapdog. He'll do best with a family ready for patient training, early socialization, and plenty of room for him to grow into the substantial dog he's already on track to become. Simba has the makings of a loyal, larger-than-life companion. Is your pride ready for him?

Ideal Home

Simba will do best with a family ready for patient training, early socialization, and plenty of room for him to grow into the substantial dog he's already on track to become. He is good with cats and young children. His interaction with children 8 and up is unknown.

Ongoing Health

All our pups receive a full health checkup, heartworm and parasite testing, are fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before adoption.

Training & Support

Simba will need patient training and early socialization.
