Boo

Boo is a 9-year-old wirehaired Dachshund/Chihuahua mix with a huge personality packed into one adorable little body. She's sweet, silly, SMART, food-motivated, and absolutely convinced she should be the center of your universe - and honestly, she deserves it. This lovable goofball still has plenty of pep in her step! Despite having a heart murmur and taking Vetmedin twice daily, Boo loves long walks, mild hikes, squeaky toys, tug-of-war, and zooming around the house like a puppy. After playtime, she transforms into the ultimate cuddle bug who wants nothing more than to curl up next to you (preferably under the blankets at your feet). Boo is looking for a calm, patient, dog-savvy home. She can be anxious around new people and loud environments, and she'll bark when strangers come by because she takes her "tiny security guard" duties very seriously. Once she trusts you, though, she is deeply loyal and affectionate.

Ideal Home

Boo would do best in a quieter home without young children, as yelling or roughhousing can make her nervous. She gets along with other dogs but would really thrive as an only pet where she can soak up all the attention. Cats are not her favorite, and squirrels, birds, and cows absolutely must be barked at.

Ongoing Health

Boo has a heart murmur and takes Vetmedin twice daily. She is on Simparica for flea prevention.

Training & Support

Boo can be anxious around new people and loud environments, and she'll bark when strangers come by. Once she trusts you, though, she is deeply loyal and affectionate.
