Arctic Blue

Meet Arctic Blue — a breathtaking one-year-old Pomsky with a snowy white coat and the most striking ice-blue eyes you’ve ever seen. At 14 pounds, he’s the perfect medium-small size for someone wanting a “big dog look” in a little package. Arctic Blue was sadly surrendered after a traumatic grooming incident where he bit his owners. He can be fearful at first meeting new people and needs a day or two to observe, process, and decide you’re safe, but once he does, he truly warms up and bonds beautifully. Patience is key with this boy, and he will reward you with loyalty and sweetness. He does have a bite history, but with calm handling and trust-building, he allowed his foster to groom him without issue, showing his ability to overcome fear when he feels safe and respected.

Ideal Home

Arctic Blue would thrive in a home that understands he needs a gentle introduction to new situations. A confident canine companion could be a big plus for him. Because of his history, we will be looking for an adopter who is patient, experienced, and willing to continue building his confidence in a positive, fear-free way. Due to his bite history, he will not be adopted to families with children.

Ongoing Health

No obvious health issues were found during his vet exam.

Training & Support

Arctic Blue knows SIT and DOWN, walks beautifully on a leash, and appears mostly house-trained. He uses the doggie door like a pro and is generally quiet, but will “use his voice” if he wants something to change. He will bark initially if crated and wants out, but settles after a bit and will sleep quietly through the night. He loves playing with other young dogs and is respectful and appropriate with senior dogs.
