Meet Lessie, a gentle and shy girl with a heart full of potential, just waiting for her second chance. She was found tied to a fence at our shelter in Mexico, but despite this difficult start, Lessie is incredibly sweet and loves the company of other dogs.
We've been working with Lessie and our professional dog trainer, and she's blossoming with newfound confidence! She's also become a pro on the leash. Our shelter can be a bit overwhelming for her, and she's a little nervous when she first meets new people. She'll thrive with a patient and experienced adopter who can help her feel safe and secure.
Ideal Home
Lessie would be happiest in a quiet, calm, and predictable environment. She'd do best in a home with teens or adults only, and a spacious yard or an active household that enjoys hiking would be perfect for her. A friendly dog companion would be a wonderful addition to her new home, as she truly enjoys their company.

Lessie is in good health and has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.
Training & Support
Lessie is already potty trained and leash trained! With continued patience and positive reinforcement, she will continue to build her confidence and become an even more outgoing companion.

Transporation
Lessie is currently located near Bucerias, Mexico. We facilitate adoptions to the US and Canada. Approved adopters will meet their new companion at the airport with a flight companion traveling from Puerto Vallarta. If a Canadian flight companion isn't available during the summer months, transport to the US and pick-up at Peace Arch Park at the border is a common and successful arrangement.
