Hi there, my name is Penny! I'm a beautiful 10-year-old pointer mix, and I am looking for a special, peaceful forever home where I can settle down and give my heart away one last time. I was loved so dearly in my previous home, and my family made sure everyone knew what a truly wonderful dog, gentle soul, and loyal companion I am. Because I've been through a lot of big changes and instability lately, I might seem just a little bit aloof when we first meet. Please don't let that fool you! I just want to take a brief moment to make sure I can trust you, but I promise I warm up incredibly fast once I know I'm safe. I am a very chill, sweet, and friendly older gal who is already a total pro at the whole "being a house dog" thing. I am completely house-trained and crate-trained, and I get along beautifully with other dogs! Some of my absolute favorite pastimes include going for fun trips to the dog park to see my canine friends, watching TV right by your side, and catching up on my much-needed beauty sleep. I also absolutely adore going for car rides. There’s nothing better than the feeling of the wind in my ears! I have so much devotion and love left to give, and I’m just looking for a soft place to land and spend my golden years.
