Logan is a sweet, silly, and affectionate 3-year-old pup who came to us from MCACC, where he was too scared and shut down to even be taken out on leash. With patience and kindness, Logan began to trust again and made his way safely into our care. He spent some time in a foster home, then boarding, before finding his current foster home where he is happier than ever to be in a home again!
Logan settled into his foster home quickly and loves being near his people, happily following his family from room to room. He's a medium-energy boy who enjoys walks, belly rubs, meal times, and quality time with his family. He can be a little mouthy when excited but redirects easily with verbal correction.
Ideal Home
Logan would thrive in a home with another dog or with someone who is home often, as he can experience a bit of anxiety. He could do well as an only dog, but his ideal home would provide him with companionship. He warms up nicely to children and would do well with kids ages 7 and up. We are unsure how he would act around cats.
Ongoing Health
Logan is fully crate trained and finds comfort in his crate. He previously had issues with marking inside the home but learned to ask to go outside. He uses an impact crate as he has been an escape artist in the past.
Training & Support
Logan redirects easily when he gets a little mouthy when excited. He has successfully learned to ask to go outside to prevent marking. He walks nicely on leash but can pull if he catches an interesting scent. Logan is a tall boy, so unattended snacks within reach may disappear!
