Shannee

Shannee is a loving, intelligent, and housetrained 2-year-old girl who weighs about 70 lbs. She may be a Great Swiss Mountain Dog mix due to her unique markings. Shannee and her littermates were rescued from the Navajo Reservation, where she was given the Native American name Alishannee, meaning "she who plays all day." She's still just as adorable as she was as a puppy! Shannee has completed some excellent training programs and knows all her basic cues, making her a potential agility star. She has a graceful way of running, sometimes resembling a deer in a meadow. Shannee is good with cats and children over 10 years old. She also does well with other dogs at boarding. She loves bully sticks and dog bones! Shannee walks well on a leash, though she may pull when excited by small animals like rabbits, squirrels, or prairie dogs – she is a dog after all! Her person is currently dealing with health issues, which has led to Shannee spending time in long-term boarding. We are now seeking a wonderful new home for her.

Ideal Home

Shannee would thrive in a home with a large yard or acreage where she can roam freely. She might also be a wonderful guardian for a rural property. She is sweet, loving, and happy once introduced to new people outside the home before they enter. We are looking for a home without young children.
