About Hugo

Meet Hugo, a handsome 3-year-old, 65-pound solid black Labrador with a heart full of love and a passion for water that's truly impressive! Hugo is a tall, lean, and athletic boy who is always ready for action. If there's any kind of water – a puddle, pond, hose, or lake – you can bet Hugo will be the first one in! He is a highly active dog who thrives when he has a purpose or when engaged in training. Hugo needs structure, enrichment, and consistency to truly shine, and he's a smart cookie who is eager to learn when given clear direction. At just one year old, Hugo was sadly abandoned and labeled "too crazy," but in reality, he was just a young, energetic pup who needed guidance. Now older and more mature, Hugo is searching for a patient and loving family who can teach him the ropes of being a well-mannered house dog and provide him with the stability he missed in his early life. With plenty of water-filled adventures and a consistent routine, Hugo is sure to blossom into an incredible, loyal, and joyful companion who will always be up for the next adventure. He's ready for his second chance and his forever family!
