Rani

Rani is a 3-year-old, 19lb female Indian Pariah Greyhound mix with a beautiful brown coat. She is very affectionate, curious, and friendly, but also a bit timid and skittish due to her past. Rani was rescued from the streets of Mumbai, India, where she faced neglect and hardship. Thankfully, a Canadian family recognized her gentle spirit and took her under their wing, leading to her rescue and journey to Canada. Now in a loving foster home, Rani is vaccinated, spayed, and ready to find her forever family.

Ideal Home

Rani would thrive in a home where she can continue to build confidence. She enjoys the company of male and female adults and is good with children. While she is still learning to trust other dogs and cats, she shows great potential for positive interactions with patient introductions.

Ongoing Health

Rani has a mild Hepatozoon canis infection, a tick-borne illness. Currently, this is not causing her any problems, and she is under veterinary care.

Training & Support

Rani is a smart and eager-to-please girl who will benefit from continued positive reinforcement training to help her build confidence and overcome her shyness. Patience and understanding will be key to helping her adjust and flourish.
