Tommy is a 10-month-old male terrier mix who is approximately 27 lbs and expected to reach about 37 lbs. He was born on April 10, 2024, and is currently being fostered in Matamoros, Mexico. Tommy is a docile, affectionate, playful, friendly, and loving dog. He is still learning to trust new people and can be a little shy and nervous around them. He is very active and enjoys running and playing with his dog friends. Tommy was rescued with his mother and born at the shelter.
Ideal Home
We are looking for families with an open conscience about the needs of rescued street animals, understanding that they require protection and education. Ideal adopters will have experience with dog behavior and training, and possess high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies. Please realize that our dogs may have been traumatized before coming to us and may require an adjustment period. Patience and understanding are a must. Tommy is NOT house-trained.
Ongoing Health
Tommy has completed a comprehensive health protocol, including: spay/neuter certificate, two DHPPI vaccines, rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchip, 4DX test and certificate, negative heartworm test certificate, monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive (fleas, ticks, and heartworm), and a health certificate. He has a vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Tommy is not house-trained and will require patience and consistency in this area. Adopters should be prepared to dedicate time to his training and integration into their home.

Transportation
Tommy is currently being fostered in Matamoros, Mexico. He is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. Transportation to the adopter's home address is available for an additional fee of $400.00, which will be paid by the adopter prior to departure.
