Meet Rainbow! If you're looking for a dog who is equal parts cuddle bug, adventure buddy, and toy enthusiast, you've just found her. At around a year old and only 46 pounds, Rainbow is a compact little low-rider with the cutest upright ears, gorgeous honey-colored eyes, and the most adorable brindle coat that looks like she has tiny tiger stripes. She's one of those dogs that makes people smile before they've even met her. Rainbow absolutely adores people. She doesn't just want to be near you—she wants to be on you. She's the kind of girl who leans into your legs, climbs into your lap whenever she gets the chance, and happily covers you in kisses if you'll let her. She's affectionate in the sweetest, happiest way and truly thrives on being part of whatever her people are doing. One of Rainbow's favorite things in the world is toys. She'll happily play fetch, enjoys a good game of tug, and is also perfectly content entertaining herself. Watching her proudly carry a toy over to the couch and settle in for a solo play session is honestly one of the cutest things ever. She knows how to make her own fun while still being ready to join in whenever you are. Rainbow also loves having canine friends. She's playful, goofy, and enjoys a good wrestling match with dogs she clicks with. She's especially fond of playful dogs who enjoy running around and being silly together. She's even been wonderful with small dogs, happily playing chase with a tiny little friend without missing a beat. Rainbow has medium energy, making her a wonderful balance of playful and relaxed. She enjoys walks, loves spending time outside, and would be happy with a family that likes getting out and doing things together, but she's also perfectly content curling up inside afterward for cuddle time. She's already crate trained, potty trained, walks nicely on leash, and settles quietly in her crate. She would do well in either a house or an apartment as long as she gets regular exercise and time with her people. If you're looking for a loyal best friend who will make you laugh, shower you with affection, proudly parade around with her favorite toy, and happily join you for every adventure, Rainbow is ready to steal your heart. Ideal Home

Rainbow's ideal family will appreciate her affectionate personality and playful spirit while continuing to help her build confidence with polite on-leash greetings. She would thrive with an active family and would especially enjoy having a playful, goofy canine companion to wrestle and romp around with. Because she can be a confident girl with other dogs, we think she would do best with a fun male dog or another easygoing pup who matches her play style. Her cat assessment was inconclusive, and she has not yet completed a kid test.

Rainbow is located in Texas. Transport is available nationwide through our rescue's USDA certified transport system. Drop off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (with pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). A $87 surcharge applies for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
