Lluvia is a sweet and playful 8-month-old Labrador mix with a happy, energetic personality. She's a medium-sized girl, currently weighing 16 lbs, and is expected to reach an adult weight of around 32-38 lbs. Lluvia is social with other dogs, men, and women, and even friendly with strangers, approaching them with curiosity and confidence. She absolutely loves to run, jump, and play, especially with her favorite toys. Chewing and playing with bright, fun dog balls keep her happily entertained and active. Lluvia also adores affection and will happily accept pets and cuddles. She has not shown any aggressive behavior and, while she might approach new situations with a little caution, she is never aggressive and does not bite. Her gentle and playful nature makes her a wonderful companion for a family looking for a loving, active puppy. This joyful girl is ready to grow, learn, and share her life with a forever family who will give her love, playtime, and guidance.
Ideal Home
Lluvia would thrive in an active home with a fenced backyard, where she can run and play to her heart's content. She needs a family that enjoys outdoor activities and has a genuine intention to rescue a dog, understanding the need for protection and education that comes with rescued animals. Ideally, her family will have experience in dog behavior and training or be willing to hire a trainer to help this intelligent dog reach her full potential. Patience and a high tolerance for rescued puppies are essential.
Ongoing Health
Lluvia has received a comprehensive health protocol, including a spay/neuter certificate, two DHPPI vaccinations, a rabies vaccine, a Bordetella vaccine, deworming, and microchipping. She has also tested negative for heartworm and was given a 4DX test and certificate. She is on monthly preventive protection with Nexgard Spectra for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. A vaccination booklet is also provided.
Training & Support
It's important to understand that rescued dogs, like Lluvia, may not be house-trained. This is a common aspect of their rescue journey, as our focus is on their health rehabilitation. Lluvia will need patience, understanding, and consistent guidance as she adjusts to her new home and learns house-training. Her family should be prepared to provide this support and education to help her succeed.

Transporation
Lluvia is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our cross-country trip. A one-time transport fee of $400 USD covers door-to-door delivery. Our transport process includes scheduled trips (3-4 per year with 15-20 adoptions per trip), with a partner company collecting pets in Mexico. They will be provided with all necessary legal documents, including a transport contract and a USDA health certificate. For US adoptions, pets will be escorted across the border into Texas. Real-time updates will be provided through a private Facebook Messenger group, and the transport team will deliver your pet directly to your home.
