Nala

Meet Nala, a beautiful 4-year-old, 50-pound Basenji mix with a loving heart and a playful spirit. Nala has a wonderful personality and is waiting for her forever family. She has a lot of love to give and will make a fantastic companion.

Ideal Home

Nala would thrive in a quiet household with one or two adults who will allow her to settle in at her own pace. A confident, playful canine companion would be a wonderful bonus, as she loves to play and would be thrilled to have another dog to share her energy with. She has also lived successfully with cats and has done well sharing her home with feline friends.

Ongoing Health

Nala is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Nala is kennel trained and potty trained, settling quietly in her crate after a day filled with fun. She does have some resource-guarding tendencies with food and toys, so she will do best with an adopter who is experienced or willing to continue managing those behaviors appropriately. Like many dogs who haven't always had an easy life, Nala is cautious when meeting new people. She needs a patient adopter who understands that trust isn't instant—it is earned through kindness, consistency, and time.
