He's currently thriving in a foster home, where he's become a beloved companion. LG would truly flourish in a home with a confident canine sibling to be his playmate and best friend. Having another dog around helps him feel secure and brings out his happiest, most relaxed self. At home, Lou is a loyal shadow who loves being close to his people. Whether you're working from home, relaxing on the couch, or heading out for an adventure, he'll happily be by your side. He's affectionate, cuddly, and enjoys soaking up attention after he's had a chance to burn off some energy. This boy loves staying active! He's an excellent walking and running partner who enjoys hitting the trails and passes other dogs calmly and confidently. He's also a fantastic passenger in the car, making him an easy companion for outings and adventures. He has done great free roaming in the foster's house when they leave, but doesn't care much for the crate! Overall, he's a joyful, affectionate dog who would love a home where he can enjoy adventures, snuggles, and most importantly, a canine best friend to share life with. Ideal Home
LG would truly flourish in a home with a confident canine sibling to be his playmate and best friend. He doesn't care much for the crate.
Ongoing Health
LG is up-to-date on all vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccine. He has received multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, is microchipped with free lifetime registration, and will receive a heartworm preventative injectable. He has also had a heartworm test and will be treated if needed.
Training & Support
LG has been assessed by trainers on staff, and behavior is modified as needed. He has been working on crate training and potty training. He is also working on leash walking.

Transportation
LG is currently located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time, see photo updates, learn fun facts, and connect with fellow adopters and fosters through our private Facebook event page! Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area. A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs.
