Meet Luna and Nyx, a bonded pair of five-year-old Mini and Toy Australian Shepherds looking for a forever home together! These two have spent their entire lives side by side and are ready to bring twice the fun, twice the cuddles, and twice the smiles to one lucky family.
Luna, the beautiful 25-pound black tri Mini Aussie, is the more thoughtful of the pair. She may hang back for a minute when meeting someone new, but it doesn't take long before she's asking for pets and showing off her sweet side. She's also the resident "hall monitor" and may try to gently herd heavy-footed people with a little heel nip—it's the Aussie in her! Once she settles in, she's all love. Just one small quirk: Luna loves water so much she'll drink too fast, so her water intake simply needs to be paced.
Nyx, the adorable 15-pound blue merle Toy Aussie, has never met a stranger she didn't love. She's a social butterfly who will happily roll over for belly rubs, soak up all the attention, shower you with kisses, and charm everyone she meets. As a puppy, she broke her back leg after an unfortunate tumble off a bed, so she has a rod in her leg, but it doesn't slow her down one bit!
These girls are wonderful family companions. They've helped raise a three-year-old child and are gentle and respectful with kids. They're also fantastic with cats—in fact, they play together, nap together, and even share their food without a second thought. Resource guarding? Not these girls! Toys, food, people...everyone is welcome to join the fun.
Ideal Home
A securely fenced yard is preferred because Luna has a bit of a wanderer's spirit.
Ongoing Health
Nyx has a rod in her back leg from a past injury, but it does not slow her down.
Training & Support
Luna may try to gently herd people with a little heel nip. Luna's water intake needs to be paced to avoid her drinking too fast.
