Smiley

Meet Smiley, a 2.5-year-old, 60-pound Great Pyrenees mix with a gentle heart and a story of resilience. Smiley spent her first two years navigating the streets with her siblings until neighbors threatened them, prompting our intervention. Shortly after arriving in rescue, we discovered Smiley was pregnant, and she lovingly raised her puppies, all of whom have found their forever homes. Now, it's Smiley's turn to find her own loving family.

Smiley is incredibly sweet and affectionate, enjoying belly rubs, stuffed toys, tasty treats, and long naps on the couch after outdoor adventures. She has a perfect medium energy level, happy to relax with her people or explore the outdoors. Due to her past experiences, Smiley can be timid and requires time to build trust, particularly with men. She is not aggressive; if she feels nervous, she'll simply walk away. Once she feels safe, her loving personality shines, and she forms incredibly strong bonds.

Ideal Home

Smiley has done well with children who understand the importance of giving her space to warm up at her own pace. She has not been cat tested.

Ongoing Health

Smiley is potty trained, leash trained, and is non-destructive in the home.

Training & Support

Smiley is still learning to trust, especially with men. She will quietly observe and slowly learn to trust before offering her whole heart.

Transporation

Smiley is located in Texas but can be adopted locally or out of state. We coordinate safe transport and offer video meet-and-greets to ensure a perfect fit.
