Astro (27lb)

Meet Astro, a charming 2-year-old Heeler mix who weighs in at a sturdy 27 pounds! Astro was found all on his own in a rough neighborhood in Texas, but a kind volunteer opened their home and heart to him, fostering him with many other dogs. Now that he's fully vetted and his true personality has blossomed, he's all set to find his forever family. Astro is an eager-to-please pup who is already house-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained. He absolutely thrives on positive reinforcement and is highly motivated by food, toys, and treats. He's also a quiet cuddle bug who will want to be your number one pup!

Ideal Home

Astro is looking for a family who will cherish his desire to be your main companion. While he's done wonderfully with other dogs in his foster home, he does have a bit of a "little man" complex and may occasionally nip at male dogs when competing for treats or attention.

Training & Support

Astro is eager to please and highly trainable due to his food and toy motivation. He may nip at male dogs when competing for attention or treats, so his new family should be mindful of this and continue positive reinforcement training.

Astro is currently located in South Bend, IN. Kind Spirits is happy to welcome out-of-state adopters and can arrange private transport with K9 Delivery LLC for an additional $200, which includes a health certificate, vet exam, and transportation to your area.
