Brie is a roughly 3-year-old, 60-pound Livestock Guardian breed with a heart of gold. She arrived at a shelter in rough shape, but with care and love, she's blossomed into a stunning and resilient dog. Brie is an independent thinker, fiercely loyal, and naturally protective, though she takes her time to warm up to new people. Once she trusts you, she's a devoted companion for life. She gets along well with other dogs after slow introductions and would likely do best as the only pet in a home, especially for out-of-state adopters who can't meet her resident dogs in advance.
Ideal Home
Brie would thrive in a home with a secure, fenced yard where she can safely enjoy the outdoors while still being part of the family. She is not meant to be an outdoor-only dog. We recommend a home with older children who understand respectful dog interactions, as she hasn't been around young children. Experience with livestock guardian breeds or a strong desire to learn about them would be a great asset.
Ongoing Health
Brie has fully recovered from heartworm and has a beautiful, healthy coat. All our dogs are vetted by a licensed veterinarian, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines before transport.
Training & Support
While Brie is new to living inside a home, she has shown excellent kennel behavior and is expected to adjust well with patience and consistency. She hasn't been tested with cats but is easily distracted by squirrels.
