Mojo

Mojo is an 8½ year old male German Shepherd with a comeback story that is truly impressive! He and his mom were found abandoned and living in squalor, surviving on whatever they could find. Mojo came to us in 2024 in very poor physical condition, struggling with severe genetic hip issues that made walking painful and limited his movement. We moved forward with bilateral hip surgeries, and the results have been nothing short of remarkable! Mojo is now living his best life, running like a fiend and clearly eager to make up for lost time. He is wonderful with people and genuinely enjoys human company. He is affectionate, gentle, and a complete love sponge once he bonds with you. He is also good with other dogs, with the important caveat that his canine friends need to be respectful. Polite dog companions only, please, as his hips have been through a lot.

Ideal Home

Mojo would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard. He needs a home where significant stair walking won't be required, as fewer stairs would be ideal for his comfort. While he gets around well, minimizing stair use is important. He is best suited for a home with children over 10 who understand how to interact gently with dogs. Cats and small animals are a firm no for Mojo.

Ongoing Health

Mojo has undergone bilateral hip surgeries to address severe genetic hip issues. These surgeries were successful, and he is now doing very well.

Training & Support

Mojo is well-mannered, housebroken, and very easy to live with in the home. He knows how to settle, relax, and enjoy being part of a household.
