Arlo is his name, and his gentle eyes match his heart perfectly! Arlo is estimated to be 1 year old and weighs 48 lbs. He might be a husky/shepherd mix, but he's a rescue, so we can't guarantee his age or breed. Arlo is a "slow bloom, big reward" kind of dog. He can be a bit shy when meeting new people and may hang back at first, observing from a safe distance. In these moments, his devotion shines through as he looks to his person for reassurance. With a little time, patience, and a steady routine, you'll discover the sweetest, most devoted boy who just wants to be close to you. Arlo truly thrives when he knows where his people are. He is house and crate trained and understands the rhythm of home life.
Ideal Home
Arlo would feel most comfortable in a home with a yard where he can settle in and build confidence at his own pace. Walks in busy or unfamiliar places can feel overwhelming for him right now. He would also greatly benefit from having a canine buddy, especially a smaller dog, as he lights up around his little foster sibling. While he has done well with slow and proper introductions to a cat, a home with a smaller, friendly dog or a calm, easygoing larger dog would be ideal.
Ongoing Health

Training & Support
Arlo is a smart, trainable boy who just needs time, consistency, and someone willing to show him the world can be a safe and gentle place. He can be shy when meeting new people and may hang back at first, taking everything in from a safe distance.
