Sadie, a 10-year-old, 15-pound Doxipoo, is a sweet girl with a specific type: men! She adores men and will follow them around, her whole body wiggling with joy. When not showering her favorite humans with affection, Sadie enjoys lounging in the sun, going for leash walks where she greets everyone like an old friend, and acting as a cozy foot warmer. While she isn't familiar with toys or commands like "sit" or "stay," her charm makes up for it.
Ideal Home
Sadie thrives in a peaceful, low-drama environment. She is house-trained and does well when left loose in the house during the day. She is not a fan of crates and will protest with crying and drooling. Sadie prefers to sleep in bed with her people and will make a fuss if told no, though she will eventually settle for her own bed. She gets along with cats, children, and calm dogs. However, she can get nervous around large, boisterous groups due to limited socialization as a puppy, so a quiet, low-stimulation home is best.
Ongoing Health
Sadie recently had 20 teeth removed, so she requires soaked kibble, wet food, or food softened with broth. She takes a daily skin medication (Zenrelia) to manage itching and needs regular grooming to maintain her coat. She is spayed, microchipped, heartworm-negative, on monthly preventatives, and up-to-date on all vaccinations.
Training & Support
Sadie is house-trained. Commands like "sit" and "stay" are not part of her repertoire. She loves to be by her favorite person's side and will try to sleep under the covers.
