Jimmy, a charming 1.5-year-old Pitbull Terrier mix, is ready to bring boundless joy and energy into your life! Weighing in at about 45 pounds, this handsome boy is currently enjoying life in a foster home in Houston, Texas, and is eager to find his forever family. Jimmy has two main modes: full-throttle playtime and full-on snuggle mode. He's a happy-go-lucky pup who greets everyone, human and canine alike, with an enthusiastic wagging tail. He loves to play, is curious about the world, and is always up for a game of tug-of-war or a romp with his doggy friends.
Ideal Home
Jimmy would thrive in an active home where he receives plenty of exercise, attention, and affection. A yard would be a bonus, but what's most important is engagement and companionship. He would love a work-from-home human or an active family who will include him in daily life. Another playful dog could be a great match, especially if they enjoy high-energy play. Jimmy may be too enthusiastic for very young children without supervision and has not been tested with cats, but may chase at this stage.

Jimmy is neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
Jimmy is house-trained with only minor early adjustment issues. Crate training is a work in progress, but he's making great strides. He can be left alone for moderate periods (4-6 hours), especially with another dog. He is still polishing his leash manners, as he can pull when excited and is very curious about his surroundings. With consistency and some solo walks, he'll continue to improve quickly as he is very food- and praise-motivated and eager to learn. He shows no signs of resource guarding, though he does think every toy is the best toy.

Transporation
Jimmy is currently located in Texas and can be transported to an approved adopter once matched. Transport is included in the adoption donation. Transports run every few weeks, and he will be on the next available transport once approved.
