Big Red is a handsome, approximately 6-year-old, 65-pound fellow with a heart full of hope and a spirit that’s ready to shine! He's a survivor, having overcome a difficult past that left him wary of his back legs being touched. Through patient, gentle care and unwavering kindness, Big Red has learned that people can be trusted and now embraces affection without fear. He forms deep, loyal bonds with those who earn his trust and is incredibly devoted once he opens his heart.

Ideal Home

Big Red would thrive in a home with a single person, a couple, or a calm family that can offer consistency, understanding, and plenty of love. A secure backyard is a must for him to stretch his legs, explore, and enjoy the freedom he deserves. Due to his past experiences, he would do best in a home without small children.

Big Red has overcome his past sensitivities and is now a healthy, gentle boy, ready for his forever home.

Training & Support

Big Red needs a calm, patient person who understands that some dogs simply need a little extra time to feel safe. With continued understanding and love, he will be an incredibly loyal companion.
